PAEDIATRIC OSTEOPATHY

Newborn Baby Foot

Our paediatric osteopath holds an in depth breadth of knowledge and experience in delivering expert care to newborns, young children and teens.

Specialist paediatric osteopathy implements a range of techniques which can include gentle physical manual therapy, stretching and massage, as well as other gentle techniques such as cranial osteopathy which is safe and non-manipulative. Most techniques use non-invasive methods to diagnosis and treat where gentle yet specific pressure is applied to the cranium, sacrum and other areas of the body, helping to relieve stress and strain patterns that may be causing pain or discomfort to the baby.

Very gentle osteopathic techniques can help to release and balance areas of physical tension, helping to soothe and relax as well as promoting freer movement where the muscles have been tight.  They are often used when treating young children and newborn infants.
