Functional bowel disorder is a term used to describe a bowel that does not function properly in the absence of disease. The symptoms of a functional bowel disorder can have a significant impact on quality of life and in many cases go unreported for a long time.

 

Types of functional bowel disorders and other related conditions that we treat:

  • ​Haemorrhoids/piles

  • Anal fissures

  • Management of IBS/IBD symptoms

  • Rectocele/rectal prolapse

  • Frequency/urgency/incontinence (stool or flatus)
