Originally from London, Desmond qualified from the University of the West of England, Bristol. Desmond has gained a wealth of experience within numerous settings throughout his professional career within the NHS, private practice and professional football academies as a specialist sports, adult and paediatric Physiotherapist.

 

He has worked as an Academy Physiotherapist at Millwall Football Club and at another London based Premier League Academy Football Club, which has forged a strong path in musculoskeletal physiotherapy early on in his career. He has also developed the key skills required for any emergency pitch side medical trauma management for low and high level sporting injuries and rehabilitation.

 

Desmond has a keen interest in the niche field of Paediatrics. From newborns to adolescents, he has spent time working with children presenting with an array of different disorders, including developmental, musculoskeletal and neurological. Desmond has trained children with neurological disabilities and their families to help participate in the Superhero series triathlon, running rehabilitation specially adapted trike cycling, running and swimming sessions.

 

Within a typical working week, he is fortunate enough to work across all age groups from paediatrics to adults and the elderly. He is able to treat both high functioning athletes, as well as adults with a multitude of musculoskeletal dysfunction using his array of specialist skills, experience and expertise.
